⭐ 2010: M. Cecília C. Baranauskas was honored in 2010 by ACM's Special Interest Group on Design of Communication (AMC SIGDOC) with the ACM Rigo Award for her groundbreaking research in human-computer interaction.

⭐ 2015: M. Cecilia C. Baranauskas was awarded with the "Outstanding Career in Human-Computer Interaction" by the Brazilian Special Commission of HCI to recognize and honor members of the scientific community whose career has contributed, historically and continuously, to inspire, develop, strengthen and promote Brazilian research in HCI.

2018: Rafael Eiki Matheus Imamura and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received Best Undergraduate Research at the XIII Workshop of Thesis and Dissertations (WTD) from the Institute of Computing at the University of Campinas, for the work entitled "Sistemas socioenativos para leitura colaborativa: construção técnica, pedagógica e de design".

2018: Vanessa R. M. L. Maike, Julián E. G. Posada and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received Best Paper Award (2nd Place) in the "Art and Design" track, for the paper "A Memory Game for All: Differences and Perception as a Design Strategy", at the XVII Simpósio Brasileiro de Jogos e Entretenimento Digital (SBGames).

2018: Emanuel Felipe Duarte and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received Best Paper Award (2nd Place) for the paper "Revisiting Interactive Art from an Interaction Design Perspective: Opening a Research Agenda", published at the IHC 2018 - XVII Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2017: Alysson B. Prado and M. Cecilia C. Baranauskas received an Honorable Mention for the paper "‘Blending theories towards understanding and designing socio-technical scenarios", published at the IHC 2017 - XVI Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2017: Eliana Moreira, Marleny Carbajal  and Bruna Panaggio received an Honorable Mention in the Design Competition at the IHC 2017 - XVI Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2015: Julio C. dos Reis was a finalist of the Cor Baayen Award, sponsored by the European Research Consortium for grace promising young researchers in Computer Science.

2015: CS Hayashi and Elaine M. Cecilia C. Baranauskas received the Best Poster Award at the 17th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCII 2015)

2014: M. Cecilia C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award in the Area of Human-Computer Interaction (at 16th ICEIS), INSTICC Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication.

2014: Lara Piccolo and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award of the XIII Brazilian Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2014: M. Cecília C. Baranauskas and co-authors received, in 2014, the Best Paper Award in the Area of Human-Computer Interaction at ICEIS 2014 - International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems.

2013: The Journal of Journal of Pedagogic Development, University of Bedfordshire (UK), presented Professor Cecília Baranauskas in their section "Key Pedagogic Thinkers".  

2013: Elaine Hayashi and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received an Honorable Mention for the paper "‘Affectibility’ and Design Workshops: Taking actions towards more sensible design", published at the IHC 2013 - 12º Brazilian Symposium on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2012: Leonelo Almeida and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award (3rd Place) of the XI Brazilian Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2012: Roberto Pereira, Samuel B. Buchdid and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received, in 2012, the Best Student Paper Award in HCI at ICEIS 2012 - International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems.

2012: Julio Cesar dos Reis received, in 2012, the Best Master Thesis from the Institute of Computing in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Three students received the prize this year.

2012: Julio C. dos Reis was a finalist in XXV Theses and Dissertations Contest (master category) sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society.

2011: Leonardo Cunha de Miranda received the Best PhD Thesis from the Institute of Computing in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP).

2011: Roberto Pereira, Leonardo Cunha de Miranda, Lara Piccolo, Leonelo Almeida, Julio Reis and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award of the i-Society - International Conference on Information Society, promoted by Infonomics Society and co-sponsored by IEEE UK/RI Chapter.

2010: Lara S. G. Piccolo received the Frida/ELAC2010 Award: Initiatives that contribute most to the development of Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean, for the STID Project.

2010: Vania Neris and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award (1st Place) of the IX Brazilian Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2010: Leonelo Almeida and  M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award (2nd Place) of the IX Brazilian Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.

2010: Heiko Hornug, Leonelo Almeida and Vagner Santana reached the second place in the Competition of Usability/Accessibility Evaluation promoted by theX Brazilian Conference in Human Factors on Computing Systems.

2009: Roberto Romani and M. Cecília C. Baranauskas received the Best Paper Award in the Area of New Research Issues on the Web, from the IADIS International Conference Committee WWW/Internet.

2008: Lara S. G. Piccolo received the Best Master Thesis Award from the Institute of Computing in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP).    

2008: Carla Lopez Rodriguez won the Instituto Claro: Novas Formas de Aprender prize.
